Shtatovsky Marine Radar X-band

In 2006, the Americans created the first of its kind floating marine radar, the value of which exceeded 815 million dollars. Novelty was named Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX). According to the military, the main task of SBX - detect launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The total weight of the self-radar installation is 50 thousand tons. The height of buildings, from the keel to the top of radar dome - 86 meters. The main deck has a size of 70 x 119 meters. The huge structure with a height of 20-storey building is capable of moving in the ocean waters at a speed of 7 knots (13 km) and can be relocated in any part of the ocean surface to detect missiles.

Festival "La Tomatina" in Colombia + Video

On the streets of Colombia, thousands of adults and children took part in the traditional «pomidornyh battles» - Festival «Tomatina» (La Tomatina). In order to prepare them have been over-collected 15 tons of tomatoes.
