The RS 60 Spyder is a limited edition of the Boxster to 1,960 units for the entire world. It has a 303 hp engine and is available for € 71,298.

 

This version brings back somehow Porsche Type 718 RS 60 Spyder (which can be seen in the images of this article), a car racing.

Based on the Boxster S for 295 hp. Regarding this, the RS 60 Spyder has changes in the chassis, the engine power, in the decoration of the body and the interior.
These changes warrant the € 10,000 of difference between the RS 60 Spyder and the Boxster S. Some of the elements that distinguish the equipment RS 60 Spyper also may have an option other models in the range Boxster.

I PASM “active suspension”, which is optional on the Boxster S, and the tires are 19 “in diameter (there are also some tires of this size as an option for the rest of the Boxster range).

Porsche has changed the exhaust system for one type of sport, to achieve increased output of 295 to 303 hp. The Boxster S also has an escape option in sports. This small increase in power has almost no impact on the performance or consumption (comparative tab)

 

 

The series has a manual six marches; optionally can be automatic gearbox five marches (Tiptronic S).

The body of RS 60 Spyder is necessarily painted in color “GT Silver Metallic. The roof of canvas can be red with the interior (seats and dashboard) in red leather, or ceiling dark gray with dark gray leather interior. The framework of the windshield is painted in dark design on the front of the body looks different from other Boxster and the pilots have a red finish.
