The Hyundai i10 is a new model that replaces the Atos. Have 3.57 meters long and five-door body. Mechanically shares some elements with the KIA Picanto.
At the time of the launch is available with a gasoline engine 1.1 litre 67 PS, with manual or automatic.
In June a version come with diesel engine 75 hp and in October will have a new engine with 1.2 l gasoline engine and 75 hp. Since the end of 2009 there will be versions’ i10 iBlue ‘, which have certain steps to ensure that their consumption is more content.
The i10 is available for € 8,700 with equipment “Comfort” and € 10,700 with equipment “Style”. The “Style” is more expensive because it has serial, among other things, air conditioning (cost € 1,000 in the “Comfort”), sunroof, power mirrors, fog lamps and alloy wheels. All prices Hyundai i10. What is not i10, at least for now, is stability control.
The i10 Hyundai is not the utility bodywork with five doors that are cheaper for sale. There are cheaper but less equipped, as some versions of the Fiat Panda and the Toyota Aygo. If these are added equipment that has the i10, the price difference is no longer important. All i10 have power steering, remote control, four airbags, a radio with CD and an auxiliary connection to external audio players,.
However, as is often the case in this type of vehicle, the price difference is small with respect to larger cars. For example, the Hyundai Getz 3p cheaper costs 8,300 € 500 more bodywork with five doors (comparison chart). That is to say, equal number of doors and engine, Getz is only € 100 more expensive than a i10. However, in spite of this small difference in price, the i10 can be more interesting city because it requires less space than a Getz, spends less and is spacious enough for four people. All prices named in this article include the current promotional discount.
The i10 with 1.1 litre petrol engine has a low consumption (5.0 l/100 km) and is therefore exempt from registration taxes. That a i10 costing almost the same as when one pays Getz car tax and other non-means-at least in this case, that Hyundai has taken advantage of this tax advantage to increase their profit margin, not to offer a price under the buyer.
The i10 is a car exceeding Atos, which replaces model: it is indeed better respond better on the road and is broader because it has a much wider bodywork. The i10 is approved for five people: KIA Picanto, the Citroen C1, the Toyota Aygo, the Peugeot 107, Renault Twingo and C2 are four-seater cars. The Panda can have five seats as an option.
In the city i10 moves well between the traffic because it needs little space to turn and the engine response is good. I did not driven by road; Hence it is likely to take more power and lack stability that have the bigger cars.
The passenger compartment has enough slots to place objects, visibility is good and the appearance of the plastic is the one expected of a utility of this kind. Everything is OK if the objective is to navigate through town. The seats are fine, but in general, a KIA Picanto I like most (and those of a Toyota Aygo a Peugeot 107 or less).
The diesel engine which will be later is a three-cylinder turbocharged 1.1-litre engine capacity and 75 hp. With this diesel engine has an average consumption of 4.3 l/100 km, which is a normal figure for a diesel utility of this size.
Later there will be a version “iBlue” based on the i10 with diesel engine. “The iBlue” certain measures will have to lower consumption of 4.3 litres/100 km spends the normal version to about 3.7 l/100 km (or about 95 g / km of carbon dioxide).
There will also be i10 iBlue CNG with a 0.8 l engine that will be prepared to consume natural gas. It will have an output of approximately 95 hp and Hyundai estimated emissions of 65 g / km CO2).
The Hyundai i10 measuring 3,565 mm in length and 1,595 mm in width, and the wheelbase is 2,380 mm. Regarding the Atos, is equal in length and 70 mm wide. The Picanto is 70 mm shorter and has a wheelbase 10 mm lower.
The suspension of i10 is similar to that of the Picanto. In front is independent of type McPherson and carries behind an arm thrown with transverse axis torque.
